"Working with Raquel Babcock and Marquel’s Events & Experiences is always a joy! This was our third hospitality industry trade show event (the first since 2019 and the pandemic) working together at different venues.
For this event, we wanted to promote and spotlight local businesses and bring them together with the local concierges and event planner community in a celebration of the resilience of Seattle Hospitality and I feel that with Raquel's expert planning and assistance (even in spite of personal challenges), we were able to do that and more!
It was the first time that our venue, Supernova, had done any sort of trade show/business development event and they were also pleased with the result and to see it all come together so well.
I would have to also mention that Raquel's wide breadth of contacts allowed us to really elevate our event (we were able to have these large lighted letters from Seattle Marquee Lighting that really added to the visuals). I so appreciate Raquel's attention to the details and her unflappable demeanor in the face of the unexpected. I look forward to working with Raquel and Marquel’s Events in the future!"

Raquel is such a wealth of knowledge in the event planning space and had a confident answer/solution for all of our concerns. She was able to keep us on track throughout our year of planning so there was never a "procrastination panic" moment.
Raquel did so much of the leg work when it came to all the moving pieces of our big day, I can honestly say it was a virtually stress free experience.
Looking back at our wedding day, there is not a single thing we would have done differently, and that majority of that credit goes to MarQuel's! Thank you for making our special day such an incredible experience! These newlyweds are forever grateful!!"

"Our wedding would've been a chaotic last minute disaster without Raquel. From a mimosa bar, beautiful treats and a photo booth at my bridal shower to all the nitty gritty things a bride doesn't want to worry about on their wedding day, vendors being set up, family being where they're supposed to be, etc. she took on so we could enjoy the day.
The entire process from start to finish went much smoother having her with us and there is no amount of thank you's to be said for how grateful we are."

"From beginning to end, Raquel made our wedding planning process an easy, smooth, and fun experience. She helped us with contract negotiations, was the liaison with the onsite coordinator/representative for our venue, she helped us think outside the box to stay within budget, and she even helped run the practice run-through the night before our wedding.
Day of she was there to make sure I was drinking enough water, made sure place settings were perfect, food was replenished, and was a calming force when the impact of what was about to happen finally set in. Big or small, she was always a text, phone call or email away to answer any question I might have. We truly could not have made it through our big day without her.

Raquel is an event planning angel! I am someone who gets easily overwhelmed and overstimulated when making lots of decisions so as you can imagine, wedding planning was rough for me. I even extended my engagement an entire year after attending the Seattle Wedding Show. By the time I got to planning my rehearsal dinner, I was done. Thank goodness for Raquel! I’d seen her skills through wonderful corporate events and knew I was in good hands.
She reached out and asked me about menu and decorations and I remember saying “I completely trust you. Do whatever you think will look good.” Which I’m sure is a challenge for any event planner but Raquel knocked it out of the park. The decorations were beautiful! The food was delicious and the perfect amount! My family and friends were blown away and still talk about what a great evening my rehearsal dinner was. She even setup the kids in another room to watch TV when they were getting bored.
I can’t describe how amazing it was to completely dump the entire planning, setup, and take down on her and her team and have it turn out so perfectly. I am forever grateful to you, Raquel! Thanks for everything!
